Job Title: Salesforce Product Architect 

 

Division: Data, Technology and Innovation 

Department: Digital Systems 

 

  • Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £60,000 and London £57,700 to £67,000 (salary offered will be based on skills and experience) 

  • This role is graded as: Senior Associate – Regulatory

The Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division enables the FCA to be a digital-first, data-led smart regulator by delivering a secure, agile, and cost-effective technology and data ecosystem that drives better decisions, transparency, and operational efficiency. 

 

Sitting within DTI, the Digital Systems team delivers the systems that enable the FCA to be a more effective and smarter regulator. 

 

Role responsibilities 

 

  • Inspire creative product design and shape proposals that unlock quick wins and deliver meaningful benefits while staying aligned with the product roadmap and shared goals  

  • Work closely with teams to produce clear and thoughtful design papers and architectural solutions that guide delivery and ensure resilience security and enterprise standards are upheld  

  • Champion secure-by-design principles and nurture a culture of compliance and care embedding security and sustainability from the start while supporting cloud and SaaS adoption for trusted platforms  

  • Collaborate to quality assure artefacts from internal and external partners ensuring solutions meet business and non-functional needs and reflect our strategic vision and regulatory commitments  

  • Represent the product group with confidence and empathy in governance forums building strong relationships across teams and translating complex challenges into simple actionable steps that empower success 

  • Join collaborative cross-functional teams that value autonomy continuous learning and innovation with a strong focus on delivering meaningful outcomes and embracing diversity and inclusion  

  • Gain exposure to cutting-edge cloud and SaaS technologies while shaping security resilience and compliance for critical regulatory platforms in a culture that supports professional growth and progression 

 

 

Skills required   

Minimum: 

  • Proven experience in providing technical guidance and mentoring developers while contributing to team development through agile processes  

  • Prior experience in designing and implementing secure resilient and compliant solutions at scale with expertise in threat modelling secure architecture reviews  

  • Proven experience in cloud and SaaS security controls including Salesforce and hybrid architectures with a strong track record in regulatory compliance and audit readiness 

 

Essential:  

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Salesforce and cloud platform security features industry best practices and regulatory trends  

  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and proficiency in DevSecOps tools including Copado and GitHub  

  • Ability to lead and promote digital product security initiatives within large organisations with measurable impact on security posture compliance and stakeholder satisfaction  

  • Demonstrated experience in coaching mentoring and influencing teams to adopt secure software development practices and drive innovation with a strategic and pragmatic approach
