Job Details  

This role is based within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and is a full-time position working 36 hours per week.  

You will earn a competitive salary of £41,972.91 to £45,900 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits including local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Collaboration and Productivity Solutions (CaPS) Competency Centre within Business Technology Solutions (BTS), working with Microsoft Power Platform and CoPilot technologies to drive digital transformation across Fife Council. 

Key responsibilities will include:- 

  • Lead the implementation and governance of CoPilot features within the Power Platform, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and compliance requirements. 

  • Develop, document, and enforce best practices for the use of CoPilot, including prompt engineering, data privacy, and responsible AI usage. 

  • Act as the subject matter expert for CoPilot, providing guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on AI-driven automation and productivity enhancements. 

  • Monitor and report on the performance, adoption, and impact of CoPilot solutions, identifying opportunities for further optimisation. 

  • Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure CoPilot integrations meet all regulatory and organisational standards. 

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex CoPilot-related support issues or incidents. 

  • Drive the safe and effective adoption of CoPilot across business units, ensuring users are empowered to leverage AI responsibly. 

  • Develop and deliver support and resources to upskill staff in CoPilot usage and AI best practices. 

  • Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs), Proof of Value (PoV) and pilot projects to demonstrate the value and capabilities of CoPilot in real-world scenarios. 

  • Work with the Business Change Team and other services ensuring a co-ordinated and collaborative approach is taken.

The Person 

Educated to SCQF level 8 which includes HND or SVQ Level 4 or equivalent vocational experience, accreditation in a computing / systems or related discipline or equivalent experience 

Experience in the design and use of IT solutions and tools that meet business needs. 

Ability to translate logical designs into physical solutions. 

Experience in the production of clear and detailed documentation for customers and colleagues. 

Requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as needed, depending on the nature of the tasks. 

Demonstrate a commitment to fostering continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest features, and adhering to best practices within the Power Platform. 

  • Experience in the design, implementation, and governance of IT solutions, ideally within the Microsoft Power Platform and/or AI-driven environments. 

  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. 

  • Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Experience in developing and delivering training or support resources. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently as required. 

  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of developments in AI and Power Platform technologies. 

  • Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements in a public sector context.
