Job Title – Data Engineer

Build a data platform to support Asset Management’s critical business functionalities. If you have a passion for working with data using multiple emerging technologies on the cloud, this might be the right opportunity for you!

The Purpose of Your Role

The Lead Software Engineer will be working as part of a core team building core investment functions for Data Solutions, Compliance and Operations Technology group within Asset Management. This will involve working on evaluating tools for data in the cloud, building data ingestion pipelines, creating a framework for self-service data acquisition, building data quality processes and transitioning our data stores to the cloud.

·       Work with our global team and provide technical direction in building solutions.

·       Actively participating in knowledge sharing sessions, code and design reviews etc.

The Skills that are Key to this role

·       You have good programming skills (Oracle SQL and PL/SQL)

·       Anyone of the below skills ( Python / AWS )

o   You know Amazon Web Services-AWS. At least 2 of these (EC2, EKS, S3, Snowflake). 6 months of work experience desirable

o   Python scripting for ML or AWS

·       You enjoy working on different technologies to solve business problems

·       You are able to readily adapt to changing requirements and priorities

·       You enjoy learning new technologies, data analysis, identifying data patterns and trends

·       You can independently figure out technical challenges, identify options and come up with innovative solutions

·       You can do Analysis, Design, Estimation and Development of the database components

·       You have Strong communication skills to manage various stakeholders in India as well as in US

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

·       You have good knowledge in ETL

·       You know Unix and Shell Scripting Basics

·       You know Job Scheduling Technologies like Autosys or Crontab

·       You have worked in Agile methodologies or iterative development processes

·       You have experience in Acceptance test-driven development

·       You have ability to take ownership

·       You have excellent collaboration and Interpersonal skills

·       You have Great attitude, being a mentor, team player and effective contributor

·       You are Self-Motivated and resourceful. Confident and able to work alone as effectively as in a team

BE/MCA/MBA

2+ years of industry experience

Location : Bangalore - Manyata/EGL

Shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm
