About your team

The automation team sits within the ISS business and aims to take an end-to-end view of how we work. The team focuses on reimagining processes, reducing manual effort, cost and risk, and improving client experience. It also has a focus on scale. This requires flexibility across business and technology, allowing us to use the best tools and approaches for each problem rather than being tied to a single platform or system. We work in an agile, outcome-focused way, prioritising pace over perfection and iterative delivery.

About your Role

We are looking for a 6 month contractor to cover a family leave. We are looking for an experienced business analyst who will support the Automation workstream in analysing the current processes and identifying opportunities for the future state.

About you

We need you to

  • Analyse the structure of a business to determine how it operates and determine its objectives
  • Identify any problems with the current business model
  • Design potential solutions to any problems identified during the research phase
  • Prepare and deliver a report of their findings to leadership with comprehensive risk and impact assessment
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end (E2E) test cases at the application and multi-application levels
  • Oversee the implementation of approved process improvements

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5- 7 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a related field
  • Exposure to end-to-end process reviews, operating model analysis, or business transformation projects.
  • Hands-on experience gathering and analysing business requirements, process documentation, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Experience in writing user stories and mapping documents clearly interpreting the requirements ready to be picked by technology team
  • Prior involvement in developing or executing test cases, user acceptance testing (UAT), or system integration testing (SIT) will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with working in agile or hybrid project environments.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business problems into clear, actionable insights.
  • Competent in using data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of business process modelling (e.g., BPMN) and documentation tools such as Visio,JIRA / Confluence etc
  • Ability to conduct impact assessments and evaluate risks associated with proposed changes.
  • Behavioural & Interpersonal Skills
  • Curious and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Adaptable and open to learning new tools, technologies, and business processes.
