Department Description
Korea Institutional Team is responsible for developing new business opportunities by offering the innovative investment solutions and the relationship management existing mandates by offering world class client service. Korea Institutional Business is actively covering 1 tier clients and top 2 tier clients in Korea Institutional Market place. Currently, AUM of the institutional team is about $6.3 billion (as of end of Dec. 2025) with existing institutional investors such as National Pension Service, Korea Investment Corporation, National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, Top 3 Insurance companies and various Credit Unions in Korea. Building up a strong and good relationship with clients over the long-term is a key success factor in the institutional business.
Purpose of your role
The Sales Support Assistant Manager (or Manager) is responsible for providing overall sales support for Korea Institutional business team in order for the team to fully focus on the sales jobs. The role will be involved in all the main aspects of a successful Korea institutional from strategy formulation and planning to business development with prospects and ensuring the highest standards of client service and management existing relationships. The role will directly manage the regional team and RFP team and work closely with the country level teams to develop and execute the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support to the Institutional Sales team to deliver an excellent service to our clients.
- Pro-actively manage / oversee all aspects of client administration and related service delivery from other internal support functions.
- Develop and manage sales support materials including portfolio review meetings material, sales pitch materials, RFP/I and focus onshore funds.
- Support the institutional clients to keep abreast of the development of our new products and promotions. Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations to existing and prospective clients
- Handle daily inquiries from clients ranging from marketing material delivery to basic operational issues.
- Conduct house product performance analysis and peer comparison based on Bloomberg and eVestment platforms to fine tune the product offerings and ensure house product line ups are aligned with client’s investment appetite.
- Manage the compliance clearance process of marketing materials with various teams.
- Support Sales team to develop and organise various client events such as client seminars/roadshows, education trainings and due diligence meetings.
- Interact with other business units to ensure the team is able to operate at the peak of efficiency at all time (Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc.).
- Organize and communicate sales figure updates on a regular basis.
- Coordinate and manage client database management including CRM system(Salesforce), in-house developed tools and related project launch etc. Responsible for client database management on a daily basis.
- Support analysing Fidelity’s institutional focus on/off shore funds performance report weekly/monthly basis.
- Work directly with the Sales team to build a strong working relationship with institutional clients.
- Organize and communicate sales figure updates on a regular basis (Daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Ideally university graduate in business, finance, economics or a related discipline.
- Ideally has worked in the financial services industry for at least 3-5 years, typically for fund manager, bank, trustee, custodian or insurance company.
- Prior knowledge of institutional and intermediary investment management preferred.
- Prior knowledge of Investment Management processes from an operational perspective preferred.
- Strong skills set of investment analysis tools: Morningstar, eVestment and Bloomberg.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
