Scrum Master

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Agilist to join our IT team working on our website (Festo.com) in Barcelona. 

As a Scrum Master you will foster a healthy collaborating culture and drive continuous improvement across a team that operates beyond by the book Scrum framework and frequently coordinates with other squads and business stakeholders. This role combines agile ways of working expertise with broader organizational experience: you will act as a servant leader, daily partner for team members on organizational topics, and a trusted partner for cross-team and stakeholder collaboration.

You will ensure Scrum events are productive and timeboxed, cause the removal of impediments, facilitate communication between Product Owners, Development Teams and subject matter experts, and work with other  Agilists across the organization to improve ways of working at scale and evolve the operating model.

Key responsibilities:

• Coach and support the team in Scrum practices, agile principles and delivery focus while adapting the operating model to the team’s context.
• Promote a servant-leadership culture, mentoring team members and supporting their professional growth.
• Ensure all Scrum events occur and are positive, productive and timeboxed.
• Facilitate agile collaboration at scale in a SAFe framework aligning targets with many other IT teams in the organization.
• Proactively identify and remove impediments and blockers that hinder team progress and continuous improvement.
• Propose improvements, measure them and make them happen.
• Facilitate clear communication between Product Owners, Development Teams, QA & Ops Teams and subject matter experts.
• Coordinate and resolve team-crossing topics and dependencies with other teams and the business, escalating when needed.
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve effectiveness of scaled agile ways of working.

Requirements

• Hands on experience (3+ years) as a Scrum Master in agile software development teams.
• Scrum Master certification such as PSM or CSM.
• Technical background with prior experience in software development and/or strong collaboration with engineering teams (understanding of development practices, QA and backlog tooling).
• Demonstrated experience in larger corporate or scaled environments where coordination across multiple multinational teams and stakeholders is essential.
• Strong servant-leadership abilities and product mindset and focus on delivery: able to support the team’s autonomy while balancing organizational needs.
• Excellent communication, conflict-resolution, expectations and stakeholder management skills; resilient and proactive in evolving environments.
• Very strong spoken and written English (Spanish is valued but not required).
