About this role
Role Description
We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer to join our IT team in the Digital Sales Hub Barcelona. In this role you will contribute to integrating and operationalizing customer and marketing data across CRM, Web Content Management, Digital Asset Management, Marketing Automation, Customer Data Platform, and Web Analytics. You will design, build and maintain scalable ETL processes and integrations that ensure a reliable Customer Master / CRM data domain and enable data-driven marketing initiatives. You will work as part of an agile delivery team (SCRUM) in a multinational environment, collaborating with product owners, marketers, data engineers, and external vendors to deliver high-quality, reusable integration components and APIs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across countries and teams are essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain data integration pipelines and ETL processes to synchronize CRM/Customer Master and marketing data between systems (WCMS, DAM, Marketing Automation, CDP, Web Analytics).
- Implement robust data validation, error handling, and monitoring for data flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate marketing and CRM requirements into technical designs and data models.
- Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies and practices.
- Ensure integrations meet data quality, security and privacy requirements and support traceability and auditability.
- Produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge within the team.
- Support the team by addressing 2nd-level tickets, reproducing reported issues, and working to resolve them.
- Interest and ability to take on the Scrum Master role within the team, facilitating agile ceremonies and driving continuous improvement, is a plus
Requirements
Must-have:
- Proven experience as a Data Integration Engineer, Data Engineer or similar role, preferably in a digital marketing context.
- Good knowledge of CRM/Customer Master data models and ETL processes.
- Experience integrating solutions like WCMS, DAM, Marketing Automation, CDP and Web Analytics platforms (design and operational support).
- Agile mindset and experience working in SCRUM teams.
- Team-oriented, strong communicator with experience in international / cross-country collaboration.
- Very good English (written and spoken).
Nice-to-have:
- Language programming experience in ABAP.
- Any experience with programming languages such as Typescript, C# or Java
- Experience with Monitoring Systems such as Grafana or LogicMonitor
- Exposure to integration platforms such as Anypoint or APIGee.
- Experience with SAP DRF or other SAP integration patterns.
