About this role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead our Docs team. This is a player-coach role for someone with a strong technical background in building and scaling web platforms, ideally with prior startup or founding experience. You will be responsible for a team of 7 engineers, balancing hands-on technical leadership with people management to drive execution, quality, and team health.What will you be doing?Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of 6-7 engineers, setting clear expectations and technical direction.Act as a player-coach, dedicating about 50% of your time (could even be up to 70%) to hands-on IC work, including code reviews, architectural decisions, and writing code.Ensure the team is effective and unblocked, taking ownership of the holistic stack.Lead the development of a TypeScript-heavy Next.js application, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.Work closely with customers to solve technical problems and improve the developer experience.
