Industrial Engineer - LMS Specialist

Location: This role is approved to be Remote anywhere in the continental US.

The LMS Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and improving the productivity, labor management, and operational efficiency of the Ferguson Fulfillment Network. This position blends Industrial Engineering analytical capabilities with Labor Management System (LMS) expertise to optimize warehouse operations, develop and sustain labor standards, enhance system functionality, and drive continuous improvement across distribution centers.

The analyst is responsible for data cleansing and analysis, LMS administration, Labor standards support, operational best‑practice development, and system configuration for new and existing distribution centers. This role collaborates closely with Industrial Engineering, Operations Leadership, and cross‑functional technical teams.

JOB DUTIES and Responsibilities

  • Support and administer the Labor Management System (LMS), including configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance across assigned distribution centers.
  • Develop, document, and sustain associate best methods, engineered labor standards, and operational best practices.
  • Ensure LMS integrity through performance monitoring, audits, and alignment to engineered standards.
  • Lead or support LMS training for new sites, new leaders, and data analysts.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Labor Management Program Center of Excellence.
  • Partner with Area IE teams and local DC leadership to identify operational inefficiencies, develop solutions, and inspire change adoption.
  • Capture, cleanse, and validate large operational datasets using Excel, Access, and SQL.
  • Develop analytical insights that support warehouse design, slotting optimization, performance improvement, and productivity enhancement.
  • Lead SQL development for warehouse design tools and reporting platforms.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into reporting, system functionality, and process improvements.
  • Create visualizations to present analytical results and find opportunities for improvement (Power BI or similar).
  • Ensure data inputs, calculations, and analytical models are accurate and well‑documented.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, distribution, LMS, or industrial engineering.
  • Strong background in labor standards and labor management systems within distribution or fulfillment environments.
  • Experience with Easy Metrics or comparable LMS platforms; familiarity with engineered labor standards is a plus.
  • Proven experience implementing LMS solutions and incentive programs.
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, warehousing, distribution, and WMS functionality.
  • Understanding of LMS–WMS interfaces and warehouse design/slotting logic.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse processes and engineered labor standards administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server (Oracle SQL preferred).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access for complex data analysis.
  • Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause identification and creative solution development.
  • Collaborative and customer-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,000.30 - $11,275.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
