Program Description

CIRCE Technology and Research partners with nonprofits, human services agencies, and social-impact organizations to harness technology for lasting change. We design and implement Salesforce-based solutions, analytics platforms, and digital transformation strategies that help mission-driven organizations deliver services more effectively, measure outcomes more accurately, and scale their impact. Our team is passionate about bridging the gap between technology and social good. We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can help us expand our reach, deepen our partnerships, and drive revenue growth — all while staying true to our mission of empowering communities.

Job Description

The Business Development Manager is both a strategic relationship builder and a results-oriented sales leader. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of mission and market — someone who can connect deeply with nonprofit leaders, understand their goals, and translate that into impactful technology solutions while driving business growth and revenue. You will manage the full business development lifecycle: from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development, negotiation, and close. You’ll work closely with the internal solution team to ensure our offerings align with client needs — and you’ll play a key role in shaping how CIRCE expands its presence in the social-impact tech sector.

Specific Responsibilities

Growth & Revenue Generation

·         Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.

·         Own the full sales pipeline — from prospecting and outreach to deal closure — with a focus on mission-aligned opportunities.

·         Proactively identify and qualify new opportunities with nonprofits, government agencies, foundations, and social enterprises.

·         Collaborate with internal teams to design compelling, high-impact proposals.

·         Forecast and report on sales performance, pipeline health, and market trends to leadership.

Strategic Partnerships & Client Engagement

·         Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, executives, and program leaders in the nonprofit and public sectors.

·         Conduct discovery sessions to understand client missions, challenges, and technology needs — and translate those into tailored solutions.

·         Position CIRCE as a trusted advisor by delivering presentations, demos, and solution recommendations that clearly articulate ROI and mission impact.

·         Collaborate with Salesforce and other ecosystem partners to co-develop solutions and pursue joint opportunities.

Market Development & Thought Leadership

·         Research and track market trends, funding streams, and technology priorities across the nonprofit and social sector landscape.

·         Identify strategic partnership and funding opportunities that can expand CIRCE’s reach and solution portfolio.

·         Represent CIRCE at conferences, webinars, and industry events to generate leads and strengthen brand visibility.

·         Contribute to marketing campaigns, case studies, and thought leadership initiatives that support pipeline growth.

Collaboration & Internal Alignment

·         Keep track of invoices, contracts and billing ROEs for both internal IT and external clients

·         Work closely with the internal solutions and consulting teams to ensure proposals are accurate, compelling, and feasible.

·         Partner with the Communication team to refine messaging and campaigns that attract target clients and accelerate the sales cycle.

·         Provide feedback on client needs and market trends to influence product development and service offerings.

Minimum Qualification

Required:

·         4+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales, preferably in technology consulting, SaaS, or nonprofit solutions.

·         Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing complex deals.

·         Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.

·         Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.

·         Strategic thinker with the ability to connect technology solutions to organizational missions and outcomes.

·         Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced, and purpose-driven environment.

Preferred:

·         Experience selling to nonprofits, foundations, or public sector organizations.

·         Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystem.

·         Understanding of funding models, procurement processes, and digital transformation initiatives in the nonprofit sector.
