Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.</p> <p><strong>You:</strong></p> <p>We’re looking for an <strong>Advanced Frontend Engineer </strong>to join the&nbsp;<strong>Escudo team</strong>, the team responsible for maintaining and evolving <strong>Feedzai’s Design System</strong>. Escudo is the backbone of our user interfaces, ensuring consistency, accessibility and efficiency across our entire product suite.</p> <p>Your mission goes beyond building features; you will be <strong>building the building blocks</strong>. You will treat the Design System as an internal product, focusing on scalability, adoption, and creating a world-class developer experience for your colleagues, bridging the gap between Design and Engineering.</p> <p><strong>The Escudo Team:</strong> The Escudo Team builds the foundation that allows Feedzai to disrupt the financial crime industry with speed and consistency. We define how Feedzai looks and feels.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Your Day-to-Day</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Architect &amp; Build:</strong> Develop highly reusable, accessible (WCAG), and performant React components that serve as the standard for all Feedzai products.</li> <li><strong>Bridge Design &amp; Code:</strong> Collaborate closely with Product Designers to translate visual language into code, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation.</li> <li><strong>Empower Developers:</strong> Write clear, comprehensive documentation (using tools like Storybook) and create tooling that makes it easy for product teams to adopt and use the system.</li> <li><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Be the guardian of frontend standards. Implement rigorous testing strategies (unit and component testing) to ensure zero regressions in the library.</li> <li><strong>Support &amp; Advocate:</strong> Act as a consultant for product teams, helping them implement complex UI patterns and gathering feedback to iterate on the system.</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>You Have &amp; You Know-How</strong></p> <ul> <li>BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical degree.</li> <li>4+ years of experience in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and <strong>advanced CSS</strong> (Flexbox, Grid, CSS-in-JS/Modules).</li> <li>Deep experience with <strong>React</strong> and its ecosystem.</li> <li><strong>Strong proficiency in TypeScript</strong> (essential for building type-safe libraries).</li> <li>Demonstrated experience <strong>architecting, building, or significantly contributing to a Design System</strong> (not just using one).</li> <li>Solid knowledge of <strong>Web Accessibility standards (WCAG)</strong> and semantic HTML.</li> <li>Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) and visual regression tools (e.g., Chromatic, Cypress).</li> <li>Experience with <strong>Storybook</strong> or similar documentation platforms.</li> <li>A "Service Mindset" or "Platform Mindset"—you enjoy helping other developers succeed.</li> <li>Experience with npm package management and release lifecycles is a plus.<br><br></li> </ul> <p>The <strong>Product Team</strong> builds our product to disrupt the financial crime industry from a data-led approach.
