Position Summary:

NOVA platform introduces an intelligence layer that convert raw logistics data into context-rich business insights that fuel automation, decisioning, and innovation. 
Using Nova, we are able to predict and prevent a high-impact supply chain disruption. We trigger the right playbook, orchestrate agents and stakeholders to resolve it autonomously.

The Quality Engineer II for FedEx Dataworks actively supports the development and execution of software quality methods and processes. Under supervision and guidance this position performs and supports the development of tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance standards. 
 

Responsibilities:  

  • Supports the development, execution and software documentation on test plans using both automated and manual testing to ensure products meet design specifications;

  • May be asked to analyze client requirements and provides feedback; 

  • Assists in tracking progress and results of automated testing efforts for appropriate teams;

  • Participates in the process of transforming manual test documentation into automated test scripts;

  • Continuously improves upon the productivity and efficiency of testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques;

  • Utilizes test standards, procedures and functional specifications for test approaches;

  • Creates and maintains test data and test documentation (status reports, metrics, and more); 

  • Supports setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting; assists or under direction implements and executes functional, regression, exploratory, automation, and other tests as needed;

  • Assist in formulating QA standards and best practices, organizational policies and processes and strategic plans;

  • Collaborates on solutions for issues and errors based on understanding of the system and client business processes; 

  • Stays current on new technologies and best practices as appropriate. 
     

Minimum Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.  

 

Minimum Experience: 

  • Familiarity with Software design, coding, control and review of code, configuration management, change management, program testing, integration of software, and release management process; 

  • + 2 years of related work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements;

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks including Selenium (preferably with Java), Cypress or Playwright;

  • Familiarity with test case management tools (i.e. qTest); 

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and ADO (Microsoft) environment;

  • Understanding of the transportation industry, competitors, and evolving technologies.
