Position Summary

 

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up equipment, monitoring runs, conducting quality checks, performing basic maintenance, logging data, and adhering to safety protocols, showing your ability to keep production flowing smoothly and meet targets. This position is responsible for product safety, quality, legality and integrity.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure proper machine setup for specific product run, including proper recipe selection
  • Monitor machine performance, adjust settings for optimal output, and ensure continuous operation
  • Perform quality checks on finished products, identify defects, and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain accurate logs of production counts, machine performance, and maintenance activities
  • Partner with leadership to ensure lines are properly staffed for product run and provide relief during absence
  • Complete film changes and process change overs
  • Perform other production work functions as needed due to business volume and need
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service driven
  • Strong team player
