
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for highly complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely close of the general ledger. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for highly complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely close of the general ledger
Prepares and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews
Researches and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal/external reporting
Ensures general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance with internal controls and GAAP and that Internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
Leads internal and cross functional teams on major initiatives/projects including: process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy recommending innovative solutions. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals
Complies with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
