FCC Canada, part of the Construction Division of FCC Group, has been present in Canada since 1997. We have been involved in innovative subway infrastructure work, such as the Highway 407 stations and Northern Tunnels for the Toronto York Spadina Subway Line Expansion, as well as the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Fredericton Moncton Highway. FCC Canada excels in civil works such as roads, railways, maritime construction, tunnels, bridges, and subway projects.
FCC Canada, in a 50/50 joint venture with Webuild Civil Works Inc., will deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line. This includes design, construction, supply, and operation of three kilometres of twin tunnels underneath Pape Avenue between the Gerrard tunnel portal and the Don Valley bridge, two underground stations (Pape and Cosburn), two tunnel portals, three emergency exitbuildings and a rail switch/crossover in the section of tunnel near Sammon Avenue. The Pape Station connection will interface with Toronto Transit Commission Line 2 subway and related works.
The project uses a Progressive Design-Build (PDB) model, allowing greater collaboration between the project owner and contractor.

Reports to: IDD Manager
The BIM Manager is responsible for ensuring BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction), as well as providing leadership, support, and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from Design through to Construction for the PDB North Civil - Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations which will include the design, supply, integration, commissioning and delivery of 3KM of twin tunnels and cavern, two underground stations, as well as other challenging engineering works.
The BIM Manager key responsibilities are:
- Overall accountability for enabling BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines (Design, estimating, planning, construction, and handover).
- To provide leadership, support, and co-ordination across all technical work streams, during each stage of a project from design through to construction within a collaborative project environment.
- Technical work streams may include but are not limited to the leading engineering disciplines, design management, digital engineering, sustainability, engineering surveying, asset management and industrialization.
- Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with the project’s IDD BIM related processes and procedures, including but not limited to BIM Execution Plan, Data Management Protocol, etc., and coordinate with the IDD FCC Corporate Office with the future developments.
- Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team on the project, based on the BIM goals set in the bid phase.
- The role will manage the link between the Client’s BIM/ Digital representatives, the consultant BIM team, Project (and any JV partner) and any subcontractors BIM team.
- The role will support the project Technical Director to enable BIM and GIS outcomes to ensure the information is delivered to the program and coordinated between engineering disciplines, organizations, and packages.
- Ensure the BIM requirements set on the project support digital integrating across all project functions.
- To ensure validation reports to verify Information Models in accordance with the EIR and Metrolinx Standards.
- Ability to manage complex data management structures and architectures, providing insights and reporting to the different internal and external consumers.
- To implement a collaborative information management process, following the principles of ISO 196650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada Toolkit, including ISO 19650-2 National Annex.
- Coordination, Auditing and Incorporation of subcontractor models, ensuring subcontractor compliance with requirements.
- Generation and delivery of the asset information model for integration into the client’s maintenance management platform.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational and Industry experience requirements include Engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training plus experience/knowledge of Civil Construction practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of organization.
- Experience with model federation platforms such as Assemble Systems, Navisworks and Bentley Navigator.
- Working knowledge of EHS regulations.
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer-first attitude.
- Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5-10 years of experience leading BIM Implementation in Large Railway/ Infrastructure projects, with 5 years in managerial role.
- Excellent knowledge of BIM Standard’s (ISO 19650/ Institute of BIM in Canada/ Metrolinx).
- Experience in working and/or the implantation of Common Data Environments such as ACC, ProjectWise and Aconex.
- Knowledge of BIM Software to support project controls activities, such as Synchro 4D, Fuzor, Assemble, ETC.
- A detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
- Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle is an asset.
- Experience working within construction project environments.
- Experience of large complex projects in infrastructure would be desirable.
- Understanding design and construction phases and alignment with the Digital Plan of Works.
- On-site construction experience would be desirable. 
Salary range between $141,000 to $156,000 per annum
