What You’ll Do: As our Data Analytics Intern, you will assist in the creation and maintenance of life, annuity, and wealth management metrics, reports, and data analysis. You will be providing support to our Life Analytics team with a focus on Life Operations reporting needs. You will have direct and impactful tasks that will benefit multiple business units. This is a great opportunity to gain real world experience!
Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent in shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- Be a current undergraduate college student, working toward a college degree in data analytics, statistics, or a similar field.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel required.
- Basic R (or other programming language) preferred.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated.
- Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Be able to work full-time (8am-4:30pm M-F) summer 2026 and 15-20 hours/week during the 2026-27 school year.
- Be able to work in-person at our home office in West Des Moines, IA.
