About this role

Join the Water Engineering team and gain hands‑on experience with GNSS surveying, meter location, permit review, and hydraulic systems. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Learn RTK GNSS field procedures and use GNSS technology to locate water meters 

  • Build basic skills in GIS, Geomatics, and understanding water laterals and meters 

  • Review permit plans for accuracy and compliance with water/wastewater standards 

  • Use CAD/PDF and permitting software to support plan review 

  • Apply fundamental hydraulic engineering principles and strengthen time‑management and project‑management skills 

If you’re detail‑oriented, eager to learn field and office engineering skills, and interested in water systems, this internship gives you hands‑on exposure to real utility engineering work. 

 

Experience/Education  

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited   

 

Eligibility Requirements  

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  

  • Applicants should be able to commit to the entire internship duration.  

 

Pay Scale  

  • 1st Year of College completed: $17  

  • 2nd Year of College completed: $18  

  • 3rd Year of College completed: $19   

  • Graduate Student: up to $25  - Pay commensurate with experience 

  

Internship Duration: May 18th – August 7th
