<p><strong><u>Your Role: </u></strong></p>
<p>The Temporary Facilities Manager to lead and support the relocation of our corporate headquarters and the planning, build-out, and operational readiness of a new Electric Vehicle (EV) Research & Development Center. This role is highly project-driven and will work cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, real estate, vendors, and local authorities to ensure a smooth transition and successful launch of the new facility satisfaction.</p>
<p><strong><u>Responsibilities: </u></strong></p>
<p><strong><u>HQ Relocation Management</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead all facilities-related aspects of relocating the corporate headquarters to a new location</li>
<li>Develop and manage the relocation timeline, milestones, and budget</li>
<li>Coordinate with internal department leaders, movers, and external vendors</li>
<li>Oversee space planning, and workplace setup</li>
<li>Ensure business continuity and minimal disruption during the move</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>EV R&D Center Build-Out</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage facilities planning and execution for the new EV R&D center</li>
<li>Coordinate build-out activities including labs, testing areas, workshops, offices, and common spaces</li>
<li>Work with engineering, safety, and compliance teams to ensure facilities meet R&D, electrical, and testing requirements</li>
<li>Oversee contractors, architects, engineers, and construction vendors</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with zoning, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Operations & Compliance</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish operational readiness for the new facility (utilities, maintenance, security, access control)</li>
<li>Support permitting, inspections, and occupancy approvals</li>
<li>Implement safety protocols, emergency procedures, and site policies</li>
<li>Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and facilities documentation</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Stakeholder & Project Coordination</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Act as the primary facility point of contact for internal and external stakeholders</li>
<li>Provide regular project updates to leadership</li>
<li>Identify risks and proactively resolve issues related to schedule, cost, or scope</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably with relocations and new site buildouts</li>
<li>Experience supporting R&D, engineering, manufacturing, or technological environments (EV or automotive a plus)</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of construction management, space planning, and facilities operations</li>
<li>Experience managing contractors, vendors, and multi-disciplinary teams</li>
<li>Familiarity with safety, environmental, and building code compliance</li>
<li>Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Preferred Experience</u></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with EV, automotive, battery, or advanced technology R&D facilities</li>
<li>Experience with laboratory or high voltage/electrical environments</li>
<li>PMP or facilities-related certifications (CFM, FMP)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><u>Hourly Range:</u></strong></p>
<p>$55 - $75/hour</p>
