Role Overview 

As a Senior UX Designer at Fanatics, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experiences for sports enthusiasts around the globe. With a deep passion for user-centered design, you'll collaborate with cross functional teams to create highly crafted, visually stunning, and user-friendly experiences that delight sports fans. Your work will directly impact how fans interact with our brand, from browsing merchandise to making purchases, ensuring every touchpoint is seamless and delightful.
 

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into innovative design solutions.
  • Conduct in depth user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into the behaviors and preferences of sports fans.
  • Develop comprehensive design artifacts such as personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing results to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Design interfaces ensuring every detail contributes to a cohesive and engaging user experience.
  • Champion design thinking and advocating for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the design team.

What you bring to the team:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes, including visually compelling and polished designs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in ecommerce or retail design is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for sports and an understanding of sports fan culture is a significant plus.

The salary for this position is between $155,000 - $185,000 per year, in compliance with California’s salary transparency requirements. This range reflects the expected compensation based on qualifications, experience, and location.
