About this role

Overview 

As a Quality Assurance Engineer III at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), your role will span across the Digital Sports and Sports Betting markets. We work cross-functionally and drive innovative solutions across the Fanatics Ecosystem.This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and ability to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement automated testing solutions to streamline testing cycles and enable faster product releases to customers
  • Take responsibility for delivering both manual and automated testing solutions for customer-facing features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX Designers, and Compliance, to gain insights into customer usage models and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Create comprehensive test plans and suites that simulate real-world scenarios and support regression testing, driving the software development process toward quality-driven methodologies
  • Work closely with development and business teams to communicate potential impacts and thoroughly understand business requirements
  • Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities

Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer
  • Proficient in scripting and coding languages(i.e. Java,Javascript) and comfortable writing and executing scripts for automation tasks in a very fast paced environment
  • Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or automated testing
  • Experience with API automation testing, including unit test automation frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated QA experience in QAE role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the sportsbook betting domain
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and automation experience
  • Reporting skills, proficient in creating status reports based on automation results
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate impacts and to understand business requirements

The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: $116,000 to $175,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed). In addition to the base, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more. Remote employee may also be eligible for a home office setup stipend.

Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE—a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. These sessions are designed to build connection and bring our culture to life, though specific travel and participation requirements will be confirmed based on your role and location.
