Description
Family Tree Farms is seeking a Photography Summer Intern to support our Marketing and Creative team during the summer season. This hands-on internship is ideal for a college junior or senior, or a recent graduate, looking to gain real-world experience in commercial, agricultural, and brand photography. The intern will assist with capturing and editing photography for marketing, branding, and internal use, including on-site and off-site photo shoots. This role requires creativity, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Capture packaging, varietal, hero, and lifestyle photography.
- Assist with studio and on-location shoots, including setup and breakdown.
- Collaborate with the creative team to plan and execute shoots on schedule.
- Edit and retouch images to align with brand and campaign standards.
- Organize, label, and archive all photo assets.
- Support weekly and seasonal photography needs.
- Other tasks as needed.
End of Summer Deliverables
- Organized and updated photo library
- New hero, varietal, packaging, and lifestyle images.
- Retail - and sales ready photo assets.
Requirements
- Proficient in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adjust editing styles while maintaining consistency.
- Proficient with Canon DSLR and mirrorless cameras (manual settings: ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance).
- Ability to shoot in natural and studio lighting. Basic studio lighting knowledge or willingness to learn.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and open to feedback.
- Valid, clean driver’s license and ability to travel locally for off-site shoots
- Availability to work on-site in Reedley, California for the duration of the summer internship
Bonus Skills
- Product, food, or agricultural photography experience.
- Tethered shooting experience.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines.
