Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Mental Health Float Pool department at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank location in Minneapolis, MN.

The Mental Health Float Pool serves a wide spectrum of patients within the Behavioral Health department including children/adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Schedule: This position will be working a 0.75 FTE (60 hours ever two weeks) on the night shift (7pm-7:30am). The shift length is 12 hours long and works every third weekend.
As a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Float Pool department, you will be responsible for:
- Utilizing a detailed process to assess the physical and mental health needs of the patient, which will provide a framework from which patient care is planned [knows disease processes, therapy, complications, expected outcomes for specific patient population(s)]
- Contributing to the development of an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive plan of care.
- Administering medications according to a policy used for the management of behavioral patients with knowledge of actions, contraindications, side effects, and desired outcomes.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing interventions in meeting the identified emotional, psychological, and physical needs, making revisions based on these outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Current RN Licensure and BLS required.
- 1 Year RN experience in mental health.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 1-3 years ECT experience
- Geriatric Psych Experience
