About this role

Job Overview

Fairview is looking for a Patient Services Coordinator at our North Branch clinic. The position is approved for .6 FTE (48 hours) every two week. We believe the schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm ( with some flexibility with the start time) 

 

The Patient Services Coordinator performs a variety of clerical functions to support the provider and patient care staff. The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible to ensure patient medical records and reports are available as needed and prepares applicable medical record forms. Relays messages to and from physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other resources necessary for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate’s activities of care team to support provider and patient care staff.
  • Performs telephone message taking and directs communication in a timely fashion.
  • Requests/obtains patient reports as necessary.
  • Effectively uses communication systems for both routine and emergency transactions.
  • Coordinates communication between care team and outside resources.
  • Enters refills.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or
  • GED
  • 1 year experience
  • Excellent public relations and communication skills
  • Good telephone and computer skills
  • Must be flexible
  • Must be efficient

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years experience
  • Willingness to work at other sites
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
