Fairview is looking for an Emergency Department Technician at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 48 hours per two weeks on the Night shift, for 12 hour shifts, and every third weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

Our Emergency Department is a 44 bed, Level 3 Trauma Center that treats over 55,000 patients per year. In addition to being a Trauma Center, the Hospital is a Cardiac Center of Excellence and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of patient care, transporting patients and / or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering and stocking supplies. The EDT performs patient care duties under the delegation of an RN which may include:

License/Certification/Registration
AND ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Current EMT or ERT certification upon hire. This certification does not need to be maintained throughout employment.
OR
Current Paramedic Certification. This certification does not need to be maintained throughout employment.
OR
Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This certification does not need to be maintained throughout employment. NOTE: Individuals who have completed a Nursing Assistant program and are scheduled to take the NA Registry exam will be granted 90 days post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
OR
Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
OR
Six months of recent direct patient care experience in an acute care, long term care, or home care setting. (Appropriate roles may include Nursing Assistant, PCA, or Resident Assistant)
OR
Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program.
OR
LPN licensure upon hire. This licensure does not need to be maintained throughout employment.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract.
