About this role

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the day to day operation of the Racquet Sports front desk, pro shop, indoor courts, clay courts, and pickleball courts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Be an Ambassador for FGCC by providing excellent guest service. 

    Account for correct money transactions and cash drawer.

    Book tennis court reservations for clay courts, Pickleball courts and indoor courts.

    Log and handle all paperwork and keys accurately.

    Notify Director of racquet sports of any changes, conflicts, repairs and maintenance, cleaning inventory that occurs.

    Be knowledgeable of all merchandise, prices, and sales.

    Monitor usage of facilities (enforce rules and regulations).

    Regulate the use of lights, heat, and fans.

    Answer phones, take correct messages, and handle situations while on the phone.

    Deal with departments, fellow employees, members, and guests concerning any matters that come up on a daily basis in regard to Racquet Sports.

    Be familiar with FGCC policies and procedures that directly involve the Racquet Sports Department.

    Assist in training new Racquet Sport attendants.

    Rake clay courts and sweep lines daily.

    Vacuum and dust pro shop, pick up trash, can, etc. and clean kitchen area every night.

    Other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    High School Diploma or GED

    Customer service experience 

    Retail experience preferred. 

    Knowledge of racquet sports preferred.

    Point of Sale experience a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

    N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Prolonged periods of walking and standing for extended periods of time.

    Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
