The Quality Manager on our data centre project in Finland is responsible for establishing and maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures all construction, installation, and commissioning activities meet client specifications, industry regulations, and internal procedures. By implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement, the Quality Manager plays a key part in mitigating risks, reducing rework, and delivering a high-performance facility. Working closely with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders, they champion a culture of quality to support successful project delivery and long-term operational reliability.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Engage and work with the Project Manager/ Project Director to provide a consistent Quality framework for application across all project deliverables and promote the continual enhancement and consistent quality management system
  • Work closely with Project stakeholders and monitor project execution to ensure/improve Quality, Efficiency, and Consistency.
  • Establish corporate ISO quality programs in assisting with the development of corporate quality goals and objectives.
  • Ensures adequate and suitably qualified resources are available to support Project requirements, strategies and approaches in alignment with the current regulations, guideline and standards.
  • To mentor the Quality Assurance Engineers/Assistant Engineer to undertake the tasks assigned.
  • Ensures and approve Project ITP’s/SOP’s/Plans/Guidelines are appropriately authorized for implementation and adequate training provided.
  • To develop, implement and manage an effective Audit Schedule focusing on the key work processes, and design activities undertaken during the project lifecycle. (Quality Records/Reports,
  • Engineering Drawings, Change Notices/Design Modifications, Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans, etc.);
  • Oversees training program for relevant project personnel for Project SOP’s/GDP/GEP applications.
  • Conducts regular Quality meetings within Project organization and contractors, regularly raising awareness of Quality requirements on the Project.
  • To take ownership of Quality Issues as and when it arises in the Project, investigate and present the Root-Cause Report for Resolution with the Project Team & Discipline HODs.
  • Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of Exyte Group Management.
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system, recommend and implement improvements when required
  • Align with project success criteria (EHS, Cost, Schedule)

Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years’ work experience in quality and must have proven experience as a Quality Manager, with a thorough knowledge of quality control procedures, relevant legal standards and certifications. 

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze quality data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical), Science & Technology or equivalent.
  • Diploma holders with additional 2 -3 years’ experience unless equated with professional certifications
  • Project Management Certification

Software:

  • Quality Management Software’s – Data analyzing & reporting
  • Computer literate in all the Microsoft Office Suites
  • BIM360
  • Autodesk
