Overview
Mechanical Design Engineer [Creo]
Responsibilities
• Support/Lead product design and engineering efforts for assigned NPD/ LCE projects.• Develop plastic products and processes, focusing on material selection, product design using CAD software, moldability, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturing requirements.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet functional, aesthetic, and quality standards from concept to production• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing material performance, reducing costs, and minimizing environmental impact.• Ensure project milestones and deliverables with agreed Quality, Delivery, cost for all phases of project• To support i2V workshops, brainstorm ideas, and create alternative designs to optimize product performance.• Conduct material selection and testing to identify optimal polymers for specific applications, considering factors such as mechanical properties, thermal stability, and chemical resistance.• Stay updated with the latest advancements in plastic materials and manufacturing technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
Essential skills
• Proficient in Creo Design tool with plastic design– Part creation, Drafting, Assemblies and design tables.• Develop and implement best practices for plastic manufacturing processes, including injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding.• Design plastics or injection-mold fabrication processes.• Hands on experience in concept development and Continuous Design Improvement.• Engineering documentation includes bills of material, test specifications, lab reports.• Experience in understanding engineering workflow & PLM system (Windchill).• Good Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack up.• Good Knowledge in manufacturing processes (plastic design, manufacturing) and design codes• DFMEA and design validation plan.• Responsible for new product technical feasibility study, Design review, DVP etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical details coherently to the customers.• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a global environment across different time zones.• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage time and complete simultaneous multiple assignments.• Strong agility to explore next gen technologies related to Air and Gas solution products• Conversant with Microsoft tools – Word; Excel; PPT; MSP.
Experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in design and development (Especially for Plastic products, pumps, high pressure components)
