Job Description

Summary

Experian is looking for a Revenue Recognition Team Lead to oversee revenue recognition activities following IFRS 15, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue reporting across Experian businesses. You will combine deep technical accounting expertise, internal controls ownership, and people leadership, and serves as an important liaison between Accounting, Billing, Sales, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors.

You will lead a team responsible for contract review, revenue assessment, month-end close execution, deferred & accrued revenue management, and continuous process improvement, while ensuring adherence to Experian's ICFR framework and global accounting policies. You will report to the Revenue Recognition Supervisor / Manager.

Qualifications

  • Lead revenue recognition activities in compliance with IFRS 15, including identification of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, contract modifications, and timing of revenue recognition.
  • Oversee revenue-related month-end close activities, including revenue journals, deferred revenue roll forwards, reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance explanations.
  • Own and execute important ICFR/SOX controls related to revenue recognition, deferred revenue, contract review, and system interfaces.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of revenue accountants and analysts, setting clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans.
