Programmatic Advertising Operations Program Manager

Introduction to the Team

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Advertising Operations Program Manager (OPM) to manage the technical and strategic aspects of programmatic advertising operations to maximize performance and efficiency. As an OPM, you will manage a portfolio of initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive for innovative solutions that enhance our customer experience, improve operational efficiency and drive business growth. In This Role You Will:

  • Partner across Ad Operations, product, engineering and other internal stakeholders to develop and implement operations strategies and scalable processes that optimize programmatic advertising efforts; evangelize Expedia Group Advertising across teams and collaborate on project roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional product and service releases for the Ad Operations team by applying structured program and project management principles: develop project plans, set milestones, manage execution from initiation to delivery, mitigate risks, adjust priorities/resources, and ensure team readiness.
  • Maintain program, project and process documentation (systems diagrams, process flows, interdependencies, tools and data flows) and use core PM practices (root cause analysis, kaizen, RACI, business case assessment, change management) to improve governance and decision making.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to define and track KPIs, monitor and analyze programmatic performance data, surface trends and insights, and use business reporting and analysis to inform prioritization and project business cases.
  • Communicate and present programmatic strategies, performance, risks, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership, ensuring transparent status reporting and expectation management.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and blockers proactively, developing solutions that ensure successful campaign execution and program stability.
  • Drive innovation, experimentation and continuous improvement across programmatic operations to boost campaign performance, efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in programmatic advertising, and maintain awareness of company strategy and industry-wide trends to inform roadmap and operations.

Strengths you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to carefully handle coordination and expectations across all levels of management across different organizations
  • Analytical and technical ability to understand capability of products and root cause of issues, supported by data and analysis
  • Creativity to develop tools, visual aids and other original content to support the understanding/education of sophisticated and technical information
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving team environment
  • A love of meeting – and beating – deadlines
  • High attention to detail, highly organized and efficient to take ownership of work assigned and deliver results timely, reliably and accurately
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks without supervision

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in project/program/product management
  • 5+ years of programmatic advertising
  • Vast understanding of the programmatic landscape and proficiency in multiple DSPs to include The Trade Desk, DV360, Yahoo, Amazon

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
