Associate Account Manager

Introduction to the Team:

Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners, including hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply and our leading advertising and travel media network.

The Associate Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to develop and maintain a high-quality portfolio of relevant, attractive, and competitive hotel and property products for Expedia Group’s fast-growing global traveler base. The Associate Account Manager works with lodging partners within their assigned territory to help maximize the production potential in the marketplace.

The Account Management team ensures that global travelers always find the most suitable property for their dream trip and that hotel partners can reach Expedia Group’s full breadth of global traveler demand.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and sustain strong partner relationships as a trusted advisor by providing relevant data insights to drive revenue and partner engagement

  • Grow and optimize an account portfolio focusing on the adoption of EG's full suite of products and tools 

  • Use a consultative approach to uncover the needs of an account and align the best solution to add value to the partner and the traveler

  • Ensure partner hotels' product (content, promotions, rates, and availability) is consistently optimized and competitive on the Expedia sites to maximize customer conversion

  • Represent Expedia in the local market, tasked with embodying the company's ethos and fostering strategic partnerships to elevate our brand presence

  • 30% of travel might be required for market visits

  • Other reasonable duties, as assigned

Experience and qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience and college/university or master’s degree; degree in Hospitality, Tourism or Business Administration is a plus but not required; or equivalent related professional experience

  • Proficiency in English and Spanish

  • High impact personality: intellectual agility, commercial skills, empathy and team player

  • Hungry, ambitious, motivated, action-oriented, results-focused and metrics-driven

  • Organization and time management skills, rigor,

  • Proven follow-up/persistence when facing challenging situations

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize work and be laser-focused on achieving a variety of KPIs (targets, goals, and/or strategic objectives) set by leadership team

  • Bridges and sustains solid partnerships Solution Alignment

  • Appetite for innovative technology, fast-changing business environment, data-driven decision making

  • Demonstrates general problem-solving skills and an intense curiosity to identify trends

  • Ability to effectively communicate to various levels and through a variety of communication channels

  • Presents ideas and directives clearly and persuasively; actively listens when spoken/presented to

  • Ability to identify the decision-making style of stakeholders in order to influence direction of decisions even when holding a position contrary to the majority
