Primary Purpose

 

Primary purpose of this position is to maintain data integrity of the EU Energy Management System (EMS) databases and displays by updating one lines and performing point-to-point testing. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

 

Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). This position must sit out of our Kennett Square - PA office.  This position is not eligible for relocation assistance


Primary Duties

 

  • Maintain EMS advanced tabular and graphical displays 
  • Troubleshoot EMS display issues 
  • Conduct Point-To-Point Testing between EMS and Substation RTU and coordinate resolutions to any identified discrepancies 
  • Perform EMS database modifications 

Job Scope

 

  • Performs critical function that supports real-time transmission operations by building and updating EMS displays as well as validating EMS data by performing point-to-point testing.
  • Required to work independently with minimal oversight, and coordinate maintenance activities with transmission control room personnel and peers across EU as it relates to EMS display updates and point-to-point testing.
  • Required to share lessons learned with peers across EU and suggest innovate process improvement ideas.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • BS in Engineering or related field or three years experience in database design/maintenance and/or network modeling or associated technical equivalent (e.g. AA certificate in computer science, programming or relational database tools) or 6 years experience with Transmission or Distribution metering and control systems or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience with EMS software and data maintenance processes and tools used to build displays and computer linkages.
  • Experience with SQL and Linux/Unix commands.
