DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

As part of the Internal Control team, you will take a proactive role and be confident operating in a highly visible and fast-paced environment. This is a newly created position, giving you the opportunity to work on enterprise-wide initiatives with regular interactions with management at all levels. You will support the development and continuous improvement of the internal control environment across the Group.

As the Internal Control Specialist, you will:

• Collaborate with Local and Regional Finance leaders worldwide to ensure key controls are understood, performed, and implemented
• Identify best practices and contribute to the enhancement of the internal control framework
• Deep dive into processes to ensure that key risks are properly identified, addressed, and processes are continuously improved through communication with management at local, regional and group levels
• Continuously monitor and update the internal control framework, including maintaining the Delegation of Authority Matrix and the Risk & Control Matrices for key processes.
• Monitor and strengthen the effectiveness of internal controls through training initiatives, performance of level II controls and review of any deficiency reported by internal or external auditors
• Conduct regular control self-assessments, to evaluate adherence to corporate standards, including the review of both the design and the effectiveness of controls
• Define action plans when gaps or deviations from corporate standards are identified
• Support various projects (segregation of duties, bank signatories, onboarding of new Finance Directors & Country Managers, group applications’ users and rights, etc.) and contribute to process-efficiency initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Internal Control Specialist:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3 + years experience in internal controls or internal/external audit
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks such as COSO
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation techniques
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Understanding and use of AI tools (e.g. Copilot)
• Experience with NetSuite and/or SAP is a plus
• Previous experience with international exposure would be ideal

• Ability to work independently while maintaining a good team spirit
• Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Fast learner with strong attention to detail and good analytical and quantitative skills
• Based in Poland (preferably Krakow) with valid work authorization
• Willing to travel 3-4 days on a quarterly basis
