Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Azure Data & Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in Azure-based Big data and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing and building scalable cloud data solutions, implementing robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and enabling advanced analytics and reporting. This role requires close collaboration with data architects and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end Azure data platform solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Azure Data & Analytics solutions using modern big data and cloud-native architectures
- Build and optimize ETL / ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Pipelines with strong focus on performance, reliability, and error handling
- Develop and manage big data processing solutions using Azure Databricks (PySpark)
- Implement and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Design and support Cloud Data Warehouse solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric
- Work closely with Data Architects on end-to-end solution design and implementation
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize data pipelines and processing workflows
- Design reporting-ready semantic and presentation layers to support Power BI / Tableau analytics
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models for analytics and reporting use cases
- Ensure best practices for data security, governance, and scalability are followed
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with 7–8 years of hands-on experience in Azure Data & Analytics
- Strong understanding of big data processing paradigms and schema-on-read methodologies
- Mandatory hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Azure Databricks (PySpark – compulsory)
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft Fabric
- Strong coding experience in Python (PySpark) and SQL
- Experience designing and implementing Cloud Data Warehouse solutions
- Proven experience building robust, scalable ETL / ELT pipelines with performance tuning and error handling
Good to Have
- Experience with Power BI DAX
- Exposure to Tableau reporting and analytics
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
