About This Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to take ownership of major technical initiatives, starting with a full redesign and reskin of our core platform. You’ll work across the stack, but with a front-end lean (about 60/40), complementing our current engineering lead who is more back-end focused.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-growth, high-potential environments. You’ll have the autonomy to make meaningful technical changes that set the foundation for scale, while delivering a clean, modern experience for our patients and internal users.

Our current tech stack includes a Nest.js backend, a React Native application, GCP infrastructure, and an enterprise-managed open source EMR. We recognize there’s technical debt, but leadership is fully supportive of rewrites, refactors, and building scalable systems the right way.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in full-stack or front-end heavy roles

• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language/framework (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js/Express or Nest.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or similar)

• Experience building with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, Angular, or Vue)

• Ability to own projects end-to-end, from technical design to implementation to deployment

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new languages and frameworks (language-agnostic mindset)

• Pragmatic problem-solver who knows when to ship, when to refactor, and how to balance engineering craft with business needs

• Growth mindset: comfortable making broad technical decisions, learning new languages or frameworks, and challenging assumptions

• Bonus: Experience in healthcare, EHR/EMR systems, or highly regulated environments
