About this role

 Wage Range: $48.21 - $ $87.11 per hour plus additional per diem rate.

Additional pay for BSN / MSN and CCRN.

We believe that creating a tiered system for our per diem RNs allows for flexibility and balance, honoring the employee’s desire to work while balancing given business needs. See below for details. Further information will be provided at time of interview. 

Tier 1 Per Diem RN

  • Available to work at least 24 hours per month
  • 17% hourly premium

Tier 2 Per Diem RN

  • Available to work 60 hours per month, including:
    • 1 weekend shift per month
    • 1 Holiday in Summer
    • 1 Holiday in Winter
  • 20% hourly premium

 

 Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
 

EvergreenHealth is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit RN to join a well-established dynamic team on the 31-bed Progressive Care Unit.

 Job Summary: 

Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Telemetry and intermediate step down, PCU nursing experience is required.
Primary Duties:
1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
2. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
3. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
4. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
5. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
6. Effectively communicates all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

Required for the position:

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Minimum of one-year recent RN experience in  Progressive Care nursing.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse License
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS- American Heart Association by start date.
  • Current Healthcare Provider ACLS- American Heart Association by start date.

Desired for this position:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • PCCN certification is preferred.
