About this role

Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour

 

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

We believe that creating a tiered system for our staff allows for flexibility and balance, honoring the employee’s desire to work while balancing given business needs. Further information will be provided at the time of interview. 
 
 
 
Tier 1 Per Diem RN
  • Availability to work at least 24 hours per month.
  • 17% hourly premium
 
Tier 2 Per Diem RN
  • Availability to work 60 hours per month, including: 1 weekend shift per month, 1 Holiday in Summer, 1 Holiday in Winter
  • 20% hourly premium
 
 
Who We Are
EvergreenHealth’s Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) located on our Kirkland, main campus provides intensive, compassionate rehabilitation for patients recovering from life‑changing injuries and illnesses. Our 14‑bed inpatient unit delivers individualized, goal‑driven care designed to help patients regain independence and safely return home as soon as possible. Adult patients of all ages rely on our Rehabilitation Medicine program to recover from complex medical conditions, including:
 
  • Brain and spinal cord injuries
  • Neurological diseases
  • Multiple trauma
  • Complex burns
  • Organ transplants
  • Cancer
  • Pulmonary, cardiac, and renal conditions
  • Debility following major medical or surgical events
 
 
Our Team
We are an interdisciplinary group dedicated to enriching the health and wellbeing of every patient we serve. Our collaborative care team includes:
  • Rehab Physicians
  • 24/7 Nursing staff
  • Licensed Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists
  • Rehabilitation Psychologists
  • Social Workers
 
 
Primary Duties: 
  1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  2. . Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  3.  Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
  4.  Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process
  5.  Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care
  6. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way
  7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician

 

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position: 

  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

DESIRED for the position:
  • Master's degree in Nursing

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA).  Union membership is optional.
