Job Summary
Assumes accountability and responsibility for outpatient rehabilitation services delivered at multiple sites across the organization and is responsible for leading all rehabilitation services in Monroe. Responsible for overall quality of service and for planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in support of the organizational goals and commitments. 
 
  1. Manages outpatient rehabilitation services, programs, processes and ensures coordination across multiple clinic sites.
  2. Manages inpatient rehabilitation services at EH Monroe.
  3. Facilitates patient care including organization and management within established policies, procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters and strategic objectives.
  4. Develops and monitors annual capital and operations budgets. Coordinates development and implementation of appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
  5. Develops and implements processes to manage human resource, materials, and finances within the established budget and provides the necessary resources to accomplish the mission of the department.
  6. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care to ensure safe patient care and compliance.
  7. Assesses and evaluates staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel in relation to patient care required.
  8. Manages rehabilitation staff and arranges for adequate and appropriate staffing with oversight of scheduling.
  9. Interviews, hires, orients and trains qualified, motivated staff, establishing behavioral and performance standards.
  10. Develops and demonstrates effective communication which fosters favorable attitudes and motivation with all members of the healthcare team.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 
License, Certification, Education or Experience: 

REQUIRED for the position:
  • Current Washington State license in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related rehabilitation field
  • 5 years of experience in a patient care setting working as a rehab therapist
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in rehabilitation services
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients in appropriate clinical area
  • Knowledge of the multidimensional needs of an active, comprehensive rehabilitation services department which includes multidisciplinary programming in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas across the continuum of care.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS – American Heart Association by start date

DESIRED for the position:
  • Advanced degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Pathology, or related rehabilitation field
  • Previous experience with program development and management
