As a Bluegrass PACE Care team member, you will be a part of a program providing all-inclusive healthcare that keeps Kentuckians aged 55+, who may otherwise need nursing home care, living safely at home. Our PACE experts work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to decide what’s best for each PACE participant, bringing all aspects of medical and personal care, plus social and support services. Position Summary:

The PACE Steward supports a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for participants by performing daily cleaning, sanitation, and floor care tasks throughout the facility. Responsibilities include disinfecting restrooms and high-touch areas, operating cleaning equipment, managing waste disposal, moving furniture, distributing supplies, and assisting with meal and meeting room setups. The PACE steward maintains orderly work areas, follows safety and infection-control standards, and communicates professionally with participants, families, staff, and healthcare teams while supporting the mission and values of the PACE program.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience in institutional housekeeping preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge and ability to operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, carpet shampooers, carts, heat machine compactors, dollies, ladders, snow removal and related equipment.
• Knowledge of various cleaning agents and/or chemicals.
• Ability to use various cleaning hand tools and supplies.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive manual tasks that require agility and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work with strong cleaning and disinfecting solutions.
• Ability to learn routine tasks quickly.
• Has the ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation.
• Demonstrates tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
