Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile carrier payments, including detention, lumper fees, and other accessorial costs
- Perform monthly customer deposit reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items
- Assist with revenue and cost of sales recognition in accordance with company policies and GAAP
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accrued expenses
- Assist with cash application and collections activities
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and carrier payment issues
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Identify process improvements and contribute to accounting automation initiatives

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience (logistics or transportation industry experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA candidate or CPA certification
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
- Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment
Compensation:
- $55,000 - $75,000 base salary
- Eligible for year-end and periodic bonuses
