Job Description

Europcar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Financial Accountant to join our Finance team full-time at our Tullamarine, Victoria office.

In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager to support the successful completion of month-end processes, ensure internal and external compliance requirements are met, and keep the daily operations of the Finance team running smoothly.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Assist with month-end processes, including P&L reviews and variance analysis

• Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting packs

• Deliver accurate reports to stakeholders and provide insights where needed

• Partner with managers and senior leaders across the business to support decision-making

• Contribute to budgets, forecasts, audits, and compliance activities

• Support tax compliance for Australia and New Zealand

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and controls

• Undertake special projects as directed by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller

To be considered for this position you should possess: 

• Minimum four (4) years’ experience within a finance environment or similar role 

• Experience working with a finance management system or similar 

• CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

• Knowledge of Sun Systems or Oracle accounting package would be advantageous 

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

• Effective communication skills, both written (general correspondence and report writing) and oral

• Exceptional attention to detail and accurate data entry skills 

• Able to meet deadlines and manage your own workload
