Job Description

We are seeking an ELISA & Cell Culture Scientist to support analytical testing for biologic therapeutics in a compliance‑driven laboratory. The scientist will perform routine plate‑based assays and cell‑based functional assays to support product release, characterization, and ongoing development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine plate‑based assays—including Binding ELISA, HCP assays, and other immunoassays—according to established test methods.
  • Perform cell culture techniques to support cell‑based potency, activity, and cytotoxicity assays, including occasional weekend cell passage duties.
  • Independently generate accurate data, maintain organized lab records, and prepare documentation such as assay protocols, data summaries, and reports.
  • Conduct work in full compliance with cGMP/GLP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply foundational troubleshooting skills to resolve assay issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and support general lab upkeep.
  • Collaborate with team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
  • Participate in additional non‑lab tasks or project support as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with plate‑based assays such as Binding ELISA and/or cell‑based assays.
  • Understanding of the principles behind ELISA, cell‑based potency assays, and their application in biologics development.
  • Familiarity with basic statistical concepts applied to assay analysis.
  • Experience with assay data software such as SoftMax Pro and PLA; experience with flow cytometry is a plus.
  • Ability to cross‑train on new methods, maintain accurate documentation, and follow established protocols.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

  • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 45-60 Minute Onsite Meeting with the Team 

Additional Details: 

Position is Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of, Lexington, MAare encouraged to apply.
