Information Security Analyst Complex
Division: Chief Information Security Office (CISO)
As a global critical financial infrastructure, the protection of Euroclear information and assets is fundamental to the company’s business. Information Security is at the core of our services, firmly embedded in the management systems and processes of the company. You will be joining our Chief Information Security Office in charge of putting in place the required controls to adequately and effectively protect our information assets.
Please note that this is a permanent position, and we do not offer freelance or contract arrangements for this role.
Your role
As a part of Second Line Incident Response Team (IDAM Ops. LAM-Product Support), you will be responsible for resolving complex incidents (mostly mainframe related) escalated from first-line support, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions to ensure the stability and availability of the mainframe environment. This role includes categorizing, analyzing, reporting and processing security-related alerts, events and incidents within the agreed SLA.
More specifically, you are expected to:
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex incidents (preferably mainframe environments) that could not be solved by the first-line team.
Focus on resolving more complex technical issues escalated from first-line support. Leverage a variety of modern tools and methodologies to analyse source code, identify vulnerabilities, and support agile development workflows
Promote inclusive, continuous feedback loops to improve service outcomes and application security across domains
Support integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
Collaborate across teams to improve container-based and cloud-native applications with a security-first approach
Your responsibilities & duties
Escalated Issue Resolution: Handling and resolving technical incidents that have been escalated from first-line support, requiring more in-depth technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Incident Diagnosis and Resolution: Identifying the root cause of incidents, developing and implementing solutions, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption.
Documentation and Communication: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, documenting troubleshooting steps, and providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders, including users and first-line support.
Collaboration: Working with other IT teams, including first-line support and potentially third-line support, to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.
Proactive Problem Management: Contributing to the identification and resolution of recurring issues, helping to prevent future incidents.
Knowledge Base Contribution: Developing and maintaining documentation and knowledge articles to support first-line support and other team members.
Your qualifications required
Technical Proficiency: typically, 3-5 years of experience in Incident management, production support or systems engineering. Preferably knowledge of mainframe environments (e.g., RACF, CICSP, RGV, DBACS, EVT/ERD).
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex technical issues, analyse root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with users, team members, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines, particularly when dealing with escalated incidents.
Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with frustrated users. Knowledge on IDAM (Identity and Access Management).
Fluent in English (both oral and writing)
