  • Promote inclusive, continuous feedback loops to improve service outcomes and application security across domains

  • Support integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle

  • Collaborate across teams to improve container-based and cloud-native applications with a security-first approach

Your responsibilities & duties

  • Escalated Issue Resolution: Handling and resolving technical incidents that have been escalated from first-line support, requiring more in-depth technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

  • Incident Diagnosis and Resolution: Identifying the root cause of incidents, developing and implementing solutions, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption.

  • Documentation and Communication: Maintaining accurate records of incidents, documenting troubleshooting steps, and providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders, including users and first-line support.

  • Collaboration: Working with other IT teams, including first-line support and potentially third-line support, to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.

  • Proactive Problem Management: Contributing to the identification and resolution of recurring issues, helping to prevent future incidents.

  • Knowledge Base Contribution: Developing and maintaining documentation and knowledge articles to support first-line support and other team members.

Your qualifications required

  • Technical Proficiency: typically, 3-5 years of experience in Incident management, production support or systems engineering. Preferably knowledge of mainframe environments (e.g., RACF, CICSP, RGV, DBACS, EVT/ERD).

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex technical issues, analyse root causes, and develop effective solutions.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with users, team members, and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

  • Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines, particularly when dealing with escalated incidents.
