First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency located in Jacksonville Beach, FL is searching for a Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Service!

Compensation: $25 - $31/hr, based on experience and applicable licensure

Schedule: Full-time, Four 10-hour day shifts between Monday - Friday. Participation in rotating on-call weekends and holiday schedule required.

About you: You are an experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care. You understand the importance of maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value. You can adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are eager to continue enhancing your skill set, and truly want to make a difference.

Requirements for the Role:

• Minimum of 2 years working as a veterinary technician, anesthesia experience required. CVT or VTS certification is prioritized.
• A strong skillset and veterinary knowledge base, including restraint, venipuncture, phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring with experience in calculating and delivering anesthetic agents, diagnostic imaging, laboratory equipment and procedures, etc.
• Attention to detail, with strong communication skills with both clients and team members
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus
