24-Hour Emergency Veterinary Hospital
Job Summary
Kennel Technicians play a critical role in the care and comfort of our hospitalized and boarding patients. In this hands-on role, you’ll support animal well-being, maintain a clean and safe hospital environment, and assist the veterinary team in a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency setting.
Schedule is a rotating schedule of 10 and 12-hour shifts, either 12 PM - 12 AM or 12 PM - 10 PM. Every other weekend plus holiday work is required.
Key Responsibilities
Feed, water, and administer medications as directed
Monitor animal health and behavior; report concerns promptly
Assist with bathing, walking, grooming, and comfort care
Provide calm, compassionate support in a high-stress environment
Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas
Launder bedding and maintain clean, stocked supplies
Restock food, cleaning products, and essential items
Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians as needed
Assist with client drop-offs, pick-ups, and basic communication
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience with animals preferred (kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting)
Passion for animal care and welfare
Ability to handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
