Position Overview
Full-time Bus Operators are responsible for the operation of Estuary Transit District (ETD)’s various vehicles and for the safe and orderly transportation of passengers to and from their destinations. Work includes completion of daily inspection of vehicle, fueling, interior and exterior cleaning of vehicle, maintaining accurate trip records, assisting passengers as required, receiving and accounting for fares, radio communications, and any other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

River Valley Transit (RVT) is a transit agency operated by the Estuary Transit District. RVT provides a variety of public transportation resources and serves 16 municipalities throughout Middlesex County and parts of New London County. Transportation options include traditional buses, trolleys, shuttles, taxis and paratransit services. Most services are open to the general public with no age or disability restrictions.
