Estia Health Yarra Valley is an elegant home with stunning mountain views, sitting on a quiet residential street in easy walking distance of Yarra Junction Shopping Centre, services and cafes. The home has strong links to the local community and a warm, friendly team, many of whom have been at the home a number of years. Estia Health Yarra Valley is around 45 mts drive from Ringwood and 30 mts drive from Lilydale.

About the role

Yarra Valley Home is seeking experienced Food Services Assistants (FSA's) and Housekeepers (Cleaners/Laundry Attendants) to join on a Permanent Part Time or Casual basis.

Food Services Assistant (FSA) Role:

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course

Housekeeper (Cleaner/Laundry Attendant) Role:

• Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one.
• Take pride in ensuring a clean, hygienic and safe home for our residents to enjoy everyday.

You will be a valued team member delivering to highest standards of cleanliness and safety, you’ll make a positive difference to the presentation of, and service within, the home.

You’ll be a team player who:

• Has excellent attention to detail where the delivery of health and hygiene standards are critical and a commitment to Work, Health and Safety principles is a must.
• Is positive, warm, empathetic and has a can-do approach to excel in this valued role.
• Implements and manages a hygiene maintenance system of auditing and site inspections for the home to assist in delivering operational excellence.
• Has completed the Basic Food Handling Course.
• Is happy being on your feet all day and has great organisation skills.
