Facility Manager Mexico - Central America & Caribbean
 

In this role, you will lead facility and office services across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, ensuring our people work in safe, welcoming and efficient environments. You will combine strategic planning with hands‑on oversight of daily operations, driving continuous improvement, cost‑efficiency and service quality across the regional footprint.
You will partner closely with local management, HR and senior stakeholders, managing vendor relationships, lease agreements and workplace projects such as office moves, refurbishments and new site openings. Your leadership will help align our workplaces with Essity’s purpose and long‑term business ambitions.

About the Role

  • Lead, coach and develop the facilities team across the Mexico, Central America & Caribbean region, including direct line management and regular performance and development follow‑up.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day office services such as reception, cleaning, canteen, safety, handyman services and general office support to secure a high‑quality employee experience.
  • Manage rent and lease contracts, relationships with landlords, and coordinate office moves, refurbishments, new office setups, footprint optimization and physical security measures.
  • Select, onboard and manage external service providers, lead annual contract reviews and ensure agreed service levels, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Own the regional facilities budget, including forecasting and financial follow‑up, and track KPIs and efficiency initiatives to deliver sustainable performance improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with country leadership, HR and visiting senior executives, ensuring high customer satisfaction and proactive communication on facilities topics.
  • Develop and maintain long‑term plans for the office footprint and services in the region, contribute to global forums and secure alignment with health, safety and environmental standards.

Who You Are

  • You bring at least 8 years’ experience in facility management, including leadership of teams and responsibility for multiple offices, ideally across more than one country and in an international or matrix environment.
  • You have strong technical expertise in facility management tools and processes, vendor and contract management, budgeting, forecasting and KPI tracking, with awareness of health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • You are an inclusive, collaborative leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a strategic mindset, strong problem‑solving ability and the courage to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • You are Fluent in English
  • University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field; professional certifications in facility management (e.g. FMP or similar) are an advantage.

You will be based in Mexico, with responsibility for offices across Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. The role includes regular collaboration with local teams in each country and may require occasional travel within the region to support projects, stakeholders and onsite activities.
