About the role
As a Beater House Operator, you’ll be a fully integrated member of our 24/7 production team. You’ll manufacture safely with a strong appreciation of customer requirements, helping the crew achieve its KPI targets and stretch goals. You’ll take pride in a clean, orderly workplace and collaborate closely with colleagues to minimise downtime and keep materials flowing.
What you will do
With a strong safety focus, you will:
- Keep the beater house pulp storage area fully stocked and organised
- Prepare the correct furnish mix as instructed by the crew coordinator
- Maintain an exceptionally clean and tidy working environment at all times
- Step in and support the shift team when issues arise, setting high personal standards
- Work closely with team members to reduce downtime and address issues quickly
- Seek and offer help to optimise efficiencies and smart working methods
- Respond to production pressures across the machine to maximise team effectiveness
- Assist with unloading raw materials on site
- Take ownership for team success and contribute to continuous improvement
- Continuously improve your skill set and build cross‑skills to become an even more effective team member
Who you are
You bring:
- Valid FLT licence (essential)
- Papermaking knowledge (desirable)
- Experience working in a team environment
- Integrity, enthusiasm and a results‑driven mindset
- Strong business understanding; logical and methodical approach
- Basic computer literacy
