About this role

Essential Services LLC – McMinnville, Oregon (Hybrid / On-Site)

Do you love connecting people with the care they need and making a real impact in your community?

At Essential Services LLC, we’re not just filling shifts — we’re changing lives. Our Referral Specialists are the heart of that mission, ensuring that every referral receives compassionate attention, every connection is meaningful, and every client feels seen and supported.

About the Role

As a Referral Specialist, you’ll be part of the Business Development Team, helping bridge new and ongoing relationships between clients, case managers, and our incredible team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). You’ll manage referrals from start to finish — ensuring that information flows smoothly, follow-ups happen quickly, and families get the help they need without delay.

This is a highly interactive and community-facing role. You’ll frequently meet with prospective clients and families to learn about their support needs, discuss service options, and help them begin their journey with Essential Services. You’ll also work closely with case managers, brokerage partners, and county representatives to coordinate services, establish, and maintain strong, trusted relationships.

Because of the hands-on nature of the position, this role requires regular local travel to client meetings, partner offices, and community events throughout the region.

You’ll thrive in this role if you love a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems, and find fulfillment in turning communication into action.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage incoming referrals from case managers, brokerages, and families — from first contact through to service coordination.
  • Ensure every referral is documented completely and accurately in our internal tracking systems.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with case managers, families, and internal teams.
  • Coordinate with Service Coordinators and DSPs to ensure timely client onboarding and smooth handoffs.
  • Represent Essential Services at community events, resource fairs, and partner meetings.
  • Maintain organized records, referral logs, and documentation that support compliance and transparency.
  • Foster positive relationships with county and brokerage partners, helping grow Essential Services’ presence in the community.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You’re organized, dependable, and great at follow-through.
  • You communicate with warmth, professionalism, and clarity — even under pressure.
  • You’re tech-savvy and comfortable managing multiple systems (Excel, BambooHR, Outlook, etc.).
  • You’re motivated by connection and purpose — not just checklists.
  • You love problem-solving and thinking ahead to make things better for clients and your team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a DHS background check.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and email communication.
  • Prior experience in human services, administrative coordination, or customer relations is preferred.

What We Offer

  • 4,200/monthly salary
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401(k) with annual pay increases
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Training
  • Per Diem
  • Mileage reimbursement & company events
  • A workplace that values your input, growth, and leadership
