About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior iOS Developer to help design, develop and support enterprise‑grade iOS applications that enable Essential Energy’s digital and operational outcomes.
Working within an agile delivery environment, you’ll lead the development of high‑quality mobile solutions and contribute to application architecture, design standards and development best practice. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Project Managers and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with business needs.
This is a Fully Remote permanent opportunity and can be based anywhere within Essential Energy’s operational footprint.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, develop, implement and support enterprise iOS applications using agile methodologies
Contribute to application architecture, technical design and quality assurance practices
Develop and enhance complex new and existing applications in line with enterprise standards
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and architectural requirements
Promote best‑practice iOS development tools, automation and coding standards
Prepare technical documentation, reports and support materials
Mentor and support junior iOS developers through coaching, code reviews and knowledge sharing
Assist in defining and maintaining iOS development standards, processes and documentation
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop user stories and provide estimates
About You
You’re a seasoned iOS developer with strong technical expertise and a passion for creating high‑quality, user‑focused mobile applications. You enjoy working in agile teams and are comfortable translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
You will bring:
Proven experience designing and developing iOS applications in a professional environment
Experience publishing one or more iOS applications to the App Store
Strong knowledge of Swift, SwiftUI and Cocoa Touch
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle
Excellent problem‑solving, communication and time‑management skills
Required Qualifications
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
